Aarhus Filmfestival highlights the financial world

Many of this year’s documentary films focus on the global circulation of finance. The films differ highly in form and focus, introducing the viewer for people at all levels of the economic chain of money. But its not only the individual’s relation to money that is scrutinised. The festival presents a variety of films that broaden the view on growth, urban development and money as catalysts in the international political field.

Apart from this theme several documentary films present deeply moving and astonishing accounts of oppression and human rights in places of political or religious conflict around the world.

Throughout the festival we invite the audience to take part in discussions and debates at the many seminars and events surrounding the screenings.

As usual Aarhus Filmfestival presents a highly entertaining and fascinating short film programme – full of offbeat, funny, shoking and eye-opening films that challenge the medium and expands the world, the art and our outlook. Film art unfolding.

Also the regional film competition Go Wæst presents an astonishing series of new fillms from Jutland.
