City of Borders Fredag 13/11 kl. 14.30-17.00 After the screening of City of Borders, Amnesty International and Aarhus Filmfestival is conducting a seminar on the discrimination of homosexuals and LGBT rights in the Middle East.
Aarhus Filmfestival is screening the award winning City of Borders, which was recently screened at Copenhagen Gay & Lesbian Filmfestival.
The film portrays an unusual symbol of unity in Jerusalem that defies generations of segregation, violence and prejudice: a gay bar called Shushan. City of Borders goes inside this underground sanctuary where people of opposing nationalities, religions and sexual orientations create an island of peace in a land divided by war.
Following the screening a seminar debates the challenges that homosexuals in the area are experiencing, along with Amnesty International’s fight for LGBTrights.
